Abstract
In addition to capital and technology, human resource is another vital resource in every organization. Therefore, developing it wisely will make competitive advantage for the organization. The same phenomenon also occurs in church organization. In order to develop and provide the best service to God and the congregation, a church is required to possess human resources with competitive advantage. To meet this demand, Gereja Bethany Indonesia (GBI) has implemented human resources information systems to manage its human resource, particularly in the Praise and Worship department. By maximizing the function of human resource database which is integrated with the expert system and group decision support system, the users (coordinator of Praise and Worship department) can gain complete information about the available human resources accurately and fast. Furthermore, this integrated human resources database will help the users (coordinator of Praise and Worship department) in the process of recruitment, performance and discipline evaluation, promotion, and retirement. It is expected that after the implementation of this system, the human resource management will run more smoothly; thus. it will add the competitive advantage in the Praise and Worship department in GBl.
