Abstract
Literature, especially short stories (short stories) began to receive special attention in Madiun City in 2019. The main marker is the publication of short stories once a week in the Litera Radar Madiun Rubric. This phenomenon needs to be recorded academically as part of the literary track record in the Madiun City area. The objectives of this research are 3, namely (1) Knowing the form of the story and characterization in the short story in Radar Madiun, published in 2019, (2) Knowing the value of character education in the short stories in Radar Madiun published in 2019, (3) Knowing the distribution of character education values in a short story on Radar Madiun published in 2019. The research method is qualitative with an intrinsic analysis of literary works using the Levi Straus approach. Sources of data in this study are short stories published in the Litera Radar Madiun Rubric during 2019. The results of this study are a description of the form of the story, the form of value, and the distribution of character values in short stories in the Litera Radar Madiun Rubric in 2019.
