Abstract
Employee performance is an important factor for an organization to achieve its goal. Various efforts are carried out by an organization to improve the performance of its employee. This study intends to examine the effect of situational leadership style on employee performance at PT. Mitra Unggas Sejati. The independent variable in this study was situational leadership, which consisted of, telling style, selling style, participating style and delegating style while the dependent variable was employee performance. The data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 65 employees located at main office of PT. Mitra Unggas Sejati as a chosen sample. The distributed questionnaires were all returned completely and were analyzed using SPSS program. Hypotheses were tested using multiple regression model. The result indicates that situational leadership style has a positive significant effect to employee performance. Another result indicates that the dominant of the situational leadership style that affect the employee performance is the delegating style. So, the hypotheses develop in this study are supported. It is hoped that research in the future will examine others variables that may influence employee performance.
