Abstract
Tujuan (Purpose): The purpose of this study is to characterize the influence of entrepreneurial self-efficacy (ESE) and entrepreneurial motivation (EM) on the success of small micro-enterprises (MSEs). This study also aims to analyze the indirect influence of ESE on business success (BS) with EM as mediation. Metodologi penelitian (Research methodology): This research population is a SMEs in the food and beverage field located in Madiun City and Madiun Regency, East Java. The sample was selected using purposive sampling techniques of 132 respondents. Data collection using questionnaires measured using the Likert scale. Data analysis using Lisrel version 8.70 and IBM SPSS version 12. Hasil (Results): Results of hypothesis testing as follows: 1) In partial, entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial motivational significantly affect business success.; 2) Entrepreneurial motivational acts as a partial mediation of the influence of entrepreneurial self-efficacy on business success. Kontribusi (Contribution): The main contribution to this research is to increase understanding for academics and business people, about the impact of two internal entrepreneurial factors namely self-efficacy and entrepreneurial motivation contribute to the success of business actors, especially for SMEs in the field of food and beverage (F&B) in East Java. To survive and even achieve business success in the Covid-19 pandemic, business owners need to continue to find creative and innovative marketing and selling alternatives to products that meet consumer needs and environmental conditions in the pandemic period.
