Abstract
Line and work cell balancing is an effectual instrument to develop the throughput of assembly lines and work cells while reducing manpower requirements and costs. Assembly Line Balancing is the problem of conveying operations to workstations along an assembly line, in such a way that the assignment be optimal in some sense. Our system was designed to minimize the number of workstations, operators and cycle time as well as considering operator perfonnance rating. The models will be developed from the Elsayed and Lesmana model to minimize the cost of work stations, cycle cost, labor cost and the cost of idle labor
