Abstract
Air minum dalam kemasan adalah air baku yang telah diproses, dikemas, aman diminum, dan mencakup air mineral dan air demineral. Air minum dalam kemasan merupakan salah satu produk pangan modern yang menuntut kepraktisan. Salah satu perusahaan yang memproduksi air minum dalam kemasan ialah PT. Erindo Mandiri dengan merek “AQUASE”, yang memproduksi air minum dalam botol PET dengan volume 330, 600, dan 1500mL. Bahan baku utama berupa air bawah tanah yang berasal dari serapan air gunung Penanggungan. Proses pengolahan air minum dalam kemasan non isi ulang menggunakan sistem continue yang meliputi proses penyaringan, desinfeksi dengan ozon dan sinar ultraviolet, proses filling dan pengemasan, penyimpanan hingga distribusi. Titik kritis dari proses pengolahan air minum dalam kemasan adalah ozonisasi yang mereduksi mikroba secara kimiawi dan penyinaran dengan sinar ultraviolet yang mereduksi mikroba secara fisikawi. Produk air minum dalam kemasan botol kemudian dipasarkan pada berbagai wilayah di Indonesia, dan diekspor ke Timor-Timur dan Singapura.
