Abstract
Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menguji apakah dengan kegiatan share repurchase dapat menggantikan kegiatan pembagian pembayaran dividen dengan menggunakan model forecast error dividend. Peneliti menggunakan 92 sampel perusahaan yang melakukan share repurchase dari periode 2007-2014. Dengan regresi OLS maka mendapatkan hasil yaitu pengaruh yang signifikan negatif dari share repurchase terhadap forecast dividend error, peneliti juga menggunakan variabel kontrol dalam model penelitian yaitu; logaritma market value, return on asset, standar deviasi return on asset, non-operating income, dan leverage.
