Abstract

Penyakit diabetes melitus tipe 2 menyebakan komplikasi jangka panjang seperti komplikasi neuropati perifer yang berhubungan dengan sirkulasi darah. Buerger allen exercise merupakan latihan fisik yang diberikan untuk mengurangi gejala neuropati perifer. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh buerger allen exercise terhadap perubahan skor neuropat penderita diabetes melitus tipe 2. Desain penelitian ini yaitu pra-eksperimental one-group pre-post test design. Sampel penelitian ini sejumlah 23 responden di Puskesmas Kedungdoro. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini adalah buerger allen exercise dan variabel dependen yaitu skor neuropati. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan instrumen Michigan Neuropathy Screening Instrument untuk mengukur skor neuropati. Hasil penelitian menunjukan nilai mean pre-test adalah 9.78±2,77 dan nilai mean post-test adalah 7,13±2,59. Selisih mean skor pre-test dan post-test yaitu 2,65±1,33. Uji hipotesis menggunakan Paired Samples T-Test didapati p value = 0,000 (α < 0,05). Hal ini berarti ada pengaruh buerger allen exercise terhadap perubahan skor neuropati penderita diabetes melitus tipe 2.
