Abstract

Human evolution was happened because of the expansion on technology. Industrial revolution 4.0 changed human’s live, especially on their relation with the others. This article talks about the rule of philosophy of information through Luciano Floridi’s perspective. The method of this article was books analysis and used Floridi and other writers’ books. Technology has made dependency in humans. The interwoven in communication has made humans body blurring. Did philosophy still have role in technology age? Luciano Floridi said yes it did. He announced that philosophy need information, and then he proposed the philosophy of information to make philosophy still going on in our live. The philosophy of information is tools to make science more critical and factual on humans daily live. The philosophy of information helps humans wiser on technology. Philosophy and science have important role to help human to be criticized so that they can use technology better, especially to be selected in using information.
