Abstract

The increasingly strong business competitions force women-micro entrepreneurs (who are still performing their domestic functions) in Sukolilo Baru to seek efforts for maintaining themselves to gain additional income. According to this background, present researchers are intrigued to scientifically examine their endurance and potencies to find out strategies of the effective and efficient establishment and development. The research used a qualitative phenomenology approach. The subjects for this research were purposively chosen. The data were collected through participant observations and semistructured interviews, which later were analyzed by relying on thematic inductive models once the validity was verified through triangulation, collaboration, and audit trail. The finding shows that holistic-integrative strategy which is used to build and develop women micro-entrepreneurs can be done individually and collectively by using these following strategies: (1) building individual and institutional strengthening; (2) strengthening modal; (3) building network of information and developing entrepreneurial technique; (4) building a network of market information; and (5) giving accompaniment.
