Abstract

Three elements in communication, starting from the communicator (source), message, and communicant (message recipient) are needed. There are nine parts in the communication process that are most important, including sender, encoding, message, media, decoding, receiver, response, feedback, and noise. All of these elements have their own challenges when applied during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the process of communicating, of course, there will be no problems when it is done face-to-face. But not during this pandemic, the choice of video conferencing is the most effective choice compared to other media. The results of this study, obtained from both student respondents and parents, gave a positive attitude if Teaching and Learning Activities (KBM) in Higher Education used zoom meetings. However, when viewed from the achievement of Subject Learning Outcomes (CPMK) through zoom meetings, many parents are actually worried about this. In contrast to students who are more worried if they will find it difficult to be actively involved in online classes (Student Engagement) using zoom meetings.
