Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the the New Habit Adaptation of the secretarial profession amid the COVID-19 pandemic. This study uses descriptive research methods, using qualitative research. The number of the respondents were 30 people. The study revealed that 96.4% of the respondents were/would implement the New Habit Adaptation. In its implementation, respondents are involved in, among others: (1) Responsible for implementing health protocols; (2) Working more intensely/frequently using information and communication technology; and (3) Obliged to learn new knowledge. The secretary helps to socialize health protocols based on the Circular of the Minister of Health Number HK.02.01 / MENKES / 335/2020. In addition, in order for the secretary to remain relevant during the pandemic and afterwards, respondents chose that the secretary should continue improving the competence of both hard skills and soft skills. Recommended hard skills: digital archiving, computer applications, etc. Suitable soft skills: responsibility, teamwork, integrity, etc.
