Abstract
A company operated by family management faces problems in synergizing its resources. The behavior of family management can be a problem in building resource synergy. PT Surya Abadi Sakti is such a company running a food court. All family members of the owner are involved in the company management but professionals are hired as front-line managers. The company assigns them a lot of target. However, the front-line managers are not able to realize it. The research is conducted to describe how the behavior of family management influences managerial decision. Data to identify policy consistency and leadership are collected from informants by way of questionnaires and indepth interviews, and then analyzed using qualitative method. The researcher acts as the key data collecting instrument. The result indicates that family management has strong impact upon managerial decisions. The improve the quality of management practices it is recommended that family management change their behavior.
