Abstract

Environmental problems are not only intended to know who result in and who must be responsible to overcome. But it is more looking for comprehensive solution towards the problems. This paper discus the environmental problem through proposing three variables (3-G): green consumer, green company, and green environment. Sustainable consumption requires the consumer to consider issues that may be less personal, such as the impact of products or services on our environment and on the wellbeing of others. In order to obtain a better understanding of how to encourage consumers to incorporate sustainable consumption into their purchase choices we need to begin by analyzing purchasing pattern. Consumer’s life style change toward healthy life style by green purchasing decision to become green consumer whose consumption only green product drives company to become green company. From a business perspective, sustainable consumption is a meaningful concept only in the broader context of a sustainable marketplace and relies on the development of sustainable marketing mix. Business can play an important role in fostering sustainable consumption by delivering sustainable value to society and consumers to choose and use their goods and services sustainably and promoting sustainable lifestyles that help to reduce overall consumption of materials and resources. So, companies and consumers hand in hand keep the environment green.
